Kirdin art from The Ever-Wound

Kirdin - (Kur-din)

The Kirdin, denizens of the Isles of Eyber, epitomize the fusion between the grace of a tiger and the formidable presence of a dragon. Possessing the sleek, powerful build of a tiger, these majestic creatures bear the iconic stripes of their feline heritage—vivid black streaks vividly set against their vibrant orange fur. However, what sets them apart are their dragon-like attributes—a series of sharp claws, scaly feet, and sinuous tails that wield the lethal prowess reminiscent of dragons.
Infused with the agility of a cat and the intelligence of a dragon, Kirdin possess a mane entwined with mysterious whispers. Over the ages, they've evolved the ability to seamlessly blend into their natural habitat, making them formidable predators and fiercely territorial. Once only found roaming the untamed wilds, they've also been domesticated in the province of Ikera, serving as esteemed mounts for the city and town guards.

Falvijora - (Faal-vee-jor-ah)

The Falvijora are a curious blend of draconic might and avian elegance, combining features of dragons with those of chickens and vultures. Their appearance is striking, adorned with feathered wings, elongated necks, and powerful beaks. With two wings and two feet reminiscent of a wyvern, these creatures possess an uncanny ability to soar through the skies. Often perceived as scavengers, they possess a paradoxical nature; while they tend toward flight when faced with a threat, their draconic lineage drives them to defend themselves fiercely if cornered. The Isles of Eyber are their exclusive habitat, where these creatures exhibit a breathtaking amalgamation of avian and dragon-like characteristics.

Boustal art from The Ever-Wound

Boustal - (Boo-stahl)

The Bousel, enigmatic inhabitants of the Isles of Eyber, embody a unique hybridity—merging the imposing stature of an ox with the majestic traits of a dragon. Boasting powerful physique and dragon-like heads, these creatures often bear semblance to cows, except for their superior musculature. Generally harmless and herbivorous, the males wield their horns or sporadic fire-breathing abilities when provoked—a rarity among the typically docile Bousel population. Frequently found grazing in fields, these creatures are predominantly domesticated across the isles, showcasing their affable nature when left undisturbed.

Orshira - (Or-shee-rah)

Residing exclusively in the Isles of Eyber, the Orshira defy easy categorization, floating through the skies with wings akin to hummingbirds while retaining the distinctive traits of dragons. Small in stature, similar to birds or flying seahorses, they exude a serene friendliness, embracing an ever-curious disposition toward the world around them. Unlike their dragon kin, Orshira forgo the traditional ability to breathe fire, instead producing silk-like threads. Their intricate nests, crafted with meticulous care using their silk, represent the epitome of their nurturing nature. They extend this generosity not only to fellow Orshira but to other creatures as well. Notably benevolent, they selflessly construct nests for those in need or refurbish damaged nests, embodying an innate sense of care and compassion.
